Hello, I'm Amelie
I’m a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Paris, France.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened up a new chapter of life overseas.
How It All Began
Moving to France wasn't in the plan we pictured. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt tougher than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Created ArelfaleonWenaro
Most online information leaned either toward corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when things genuinely change
This site isn't:
- An official tourism resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- An ordinary travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in France goes on, and the learning journey continues. As long as the information remains useful, I will continue to document what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Amelie
